FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes, I am constantly going to conventions to learn about the newest equipment and software on the market. I also go to various seminars at RISD when I hear of interesting photographers speaking. Rhode Island School of Design is where I studied for Digital Photography and it's always nice to hear from other photographers and connect with them as well.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I always loved taking pictures since I got my first camera when I was younger. I was always known as the "go to girl" to take people's pictures at just about every event there was. It wasn't until I had my first baby back in 2000 that my whole world changed. I would spend countless hours taking pictures of my little girl just about every day. the fun part was dressing her up and posing her in front of props and toys. I always dreamed of learning about it more but it wasn't until my 2 children (now 11 and 12) were older that I realized it was time to make the move, go back to college and educate myself more in digital photography. As soon as I took my first class at RISD ... I was so excited and eager to learn. I knew I just had to do this line of work for a living. I am extremely dedicated to my job and I have worked hard to achieve many goals along the way.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
The most common type of photography I do for clients are an array of different things. Portraits, children and infant portraits, Special Events, Commercial Photography, etc. That's the beauty of my job... having the ability to connect with people no matter where I am.
