I was in the middle of a home renovation project to improve/upgrade a kitchen and bath last updated in the 1980s. I took on the role as contractor in order to save money, but realized that I opened up more than one can of worms, since I was also challenged by the fact that my cottage was originally built as a summer only residence, circa 1900s. the cost of the plumbing alone went over the roof, leaving less funds for the electric and new fixtures. After getting incredibly high-end quotes from local electricians which I could not afford (they knew they were walking into one big can of worms!), I was stuck between a rock and a renovation in progress-no turning back!. On an impulse, I put a call out on Thumbtack for an electrician to contact me for what was an immediate need for someone who would take on the electric upgrade, who was insured and licensed to work in Massachusetts; within 15 minutes Frank Boyer emailed me that he was in my area and could drop by to review my project. He came by within 2 hours of the email, informed me how he would go about the project, and gave me a flat rate that I could handle. I was also happy to take on any prep work that did not involve an electrician- like drilling holes for snaking the new wires. Frank was great, pretty much completing the project in record time, meeting all code requirements, and arranging to meet with the electrical inspector to make sure all work was done to code. All this amazing work added up to 20 hours of specialized work. All fixtures and all ancient lines were rewired or replaced before completion. He guarantees all work and is available to answer any follow up questions after the project is completed. It feels great having met Frank and knowing I can call him for advice on any new projects. All in all, you can't get a better person who knows what he's doing and has great people skills. Frank's not out to "milk" you, and gives you the chance to learn about the positive and negatives aspects of electrical work, which is rocket science to most home owners. Thanks Frank! Frank was a pleasure to work with. We had a few lingering issues in our home and 1 new project that needed to be completed. Frank took the time to look at all 3 (1 outlet repair, 1 non-working fixture, and an addition of a hard-wired internet jack in an upstairs room) and give me options for each one. The first 2 were easy repairs, and Frank replaced the outlet and fixtures with new ones he bought. The internet addition was a little more complicated, but Frank gave us 2 options, and did his best to make it look good and do what we needed. We have had very bad luck in the past with contractors, but I have nothing but good things to say about Frank. Highly recommended!

I had an issue with my tenants electical wiring. It appeared as though someone tampered with the wires. Frank was awesome. Quick to respond and made time in his busy schedule to address this issue for me. Honest and very resonable. Highly recommend!

Our bathroom light had been working intermittently for some time and once we were in contact with Frank, he was able to come over the very next day to complete the repair. When he was on the way, he even provided an ETA which I greatly appreciated. Once he arrived he got straight to work and had our bathroom light situation fixed in under twenty minutes. We would definitely recommend him and will keep his information handy should we need any other work done.
