My daughter and I both took music lessons with Malena. I was an adult piano student and my daughter took piano, voice, and clarinet as a preteen and teen. I appreciated the comprehensive education I got. I’d never had the opportunity to add the music theory I’d never studied before. My daughter loved being able to explore new instruments and styles that interested her.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Monthly Tuition for Weekly Lessons - 30 minutes: $150 monthly - 45 minutes: $200 monthly - 60 minutes: $250 monthly - Group 60 minutes: $100 monthly (4 minimum)
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I require a free 30 minute trial lesson to ensure a good fit between student and teacher. At this lesson we will discuss your goals, dreams, desires, abilities, experiences, and needs. At the end, we will decide if you want to continue looking for a better fit or we will schedule ongoing lessons at a convenient time for both of us. Tuition will also be discussed, including whether or not you qualify for discounts or scholarships.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied under Peggy McAdam from 1984 to 1991, learning piano and teaching techniques.
