Anita was great- we ( my teenage daughter and I) did a private first yoga lesson to get introduced to the practice. Anita explained each pose - the how to do and health benefits. She also adjusted the difficulty of each pose to meet our capabilities. I had requested Anita's help with a private yoga session. She was wonderful. The postures were explained in detail and she helped understand how they work. I'm glad I could meet her and get her help. - What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have almost 40 years in the fitness business as an aerobic instructor, herbalist, and yoga instructor. I am certified by Yoga Alliance as an instructor and continuing education provider. Also MEd in education, with classroom and corporate experience.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?I've been in the fitness industry since 1978 so I thought I was pretty fit physically but yoga encompasses so much more. When I immersed myself in a yoga practice, first of all, my aging body thanked me! No more grueling, pounding workouts that hurt my joints. Secondly, I found I was more relaxed, slept better, and had energy to deal with life's problems more calmly.
