FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing in tiling cannot quite be standard. We must take into consideration many factors. For example, if we take down tile in a bathroom shower and discover mold, we would have to replace the blueboard to rectify the situation so that a) you abolish the mold for health and safety reasons and b) your new tile will lay perfectly. Sometimes in this business we run into incidentals so it can be very difficult to just give a set price since we never know what we are going to come across when ripping old materials out.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When I first send out my quote, I ask for them to call me as I feel it is more personal to speak over the phone. Welcoming phone calls actually, I feel it is important for you to be comfortable with me as I will be working in your home. Phone calls also allow me the chance to take detailed notes on exactly what you are looking for. From that point, if you decide you'd like a free consultation, I will come to your home or business and we will go over measurements, ideas and details. We also set up a good time to start and I will also give you a time frame of how long the job is estimated to take.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I went to trades school where I specialized in Flooring. More importantly, I learned and began tiling at a very young age under the supervision and gained knowledge from my uncle and father. On hands learning, in my opinion, is the best way to learn any trade.
