- How did you get started doing this type of work?
The Lakeview driving range originated back in 1951 and has been family owned since 1971. I started working here at the age of 10. I grew up in the business. My father use to take me here to work and I had a great time as a child.I love the game of golf and always have. In this line of work you are dealing with the public. I have had repeat customers coming to my facility for a number of years. It is really the only thing I know how to do.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Retail, I greet customers as they visit my facility. They have choices of playing a round of miniature golf, practicing there golf swing on the driving range, or hitting a home run on the batting range. Customers bring me there golf clubs to repair, from broken shafts to regripping old worn out grips. Golf lessons are also available by appointment. Golf lessons help a person fine tune there game. Our teaching professional John Ross is USGTF certified and has been teaching the game of golf over 10 years. We also cater to family outing and birthday parties. We have had groups up to 70 people at our facility enjoying themselves.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
We offer a good product at an affordable price. Our prices are the lowest around because we don't have a high overhead. The facility has been around since 1951 and has been family owned since 1971. If you want to fine tune your golf game we have the facility to do it. If you want an afternoon of fun we can offer it with the 18 hole miniature golf. Or if you want to hit a home run our batting range is the place, with 3 stations to offer 3 different pitching speeds.
