Ask questions of the therapist you are interested in working with such as what type of training they may have received, including advanced degrees. Above all you need to comfortable with the therapist so use your intuition. How does the environment feel in the office...does the therapist ask the right questions? When something doesn't feel right, am I able to tell the therapist and have my viewpoint known?
