FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
• Flat per-push pricing – You’re charged per visit, not per storm. Each time your driveway is plowed counts as one push, regardless of how long the storm lasts. • 2-inch trigger – Service begins once snowfall reaches approximately 2 inches. During longer or heavier storms, multiple pushes may be required to keep the driveway accessible and prevent excessive buildup. • Upfront, no surprises – Flat pricing means you know the cost ahead of time. There’s no hourly billing or guesswork—each push is priced the same unless special conditions apply. • Driveway factors – Pricing is based on driveway length, width, slope, surface type, and obstacles such as parked vehicles, tight turns, or limited push areas. • Weather & conditions – Ice, drifting, packed snow, freezing rain, town plow berms, or late-night/early-morning storms can require additional passes, slower operation, or extra equipment to clear safely and properly. Example: If a storm drops 6 inches of snow over several hours, your driveway may be plowed after the first 2–3 inches and again later as snow continues to fall. That would be two pushes, each charged at the flat per-push rate. This approach keeps driveways passable and prevents hard-packed snow that’s harder to remove at the end of the storm.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When a new client reaches out, I start by reviewing the driveway details provided on Thumbtack—location, size, layout, and any special conditions. If needed, I’ll ask a few quick questions or request photos to make sure pricing and expectations are accurate from the start. Once we agree on pricing and service details, you’ll be added to my route for storms that meet the 2-inch snowfall trigger. Service is provided on a per-push basis, and during longer or heavier storms, multiple pushes may be completed to keep your driveway accessible and prevent excessive buildup. Before the first storm, I’ll confirm expectations around timing, access to the driveway, vehicle placement, and payment. During storms, I prioritize safe, efficient service using professional plow equipment, and for special circumstances—such as heavy buildup or tight areas—a mini skid steer may be used when necessary. Clear communication is important to me. If conditions change or additional passes are required, I’ll keep you informed. My goal with every new client is simple: fair pricing, reliable service, and no surprises.
