Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.
A. Small Yoga class settings on site in the Manchester Community Center in Manchester on Wednesdays at 5 pm. Also Yoga class through Beverly Recreation Department in Beverly- session dates and time vary. Also senior chair Yoga at various Senior Retirement facilities across the North Shore.
Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. The best advice I can give is to not look at anyone else in the class. Go to your class prepared to connect with your own self and enjoy wherever you are in that moment - no comparisons to anyone else, or to your abilities on any given day!
Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?
A. Are you looking for a private class or one that is already in progress? Have you taken a Yoga class before and are you familiar with Hatha Yoga?
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. The School of Royal Yoga offers Classic Hatha Yoga with a balanced and gentle approach. The novice student is welcome as well as the Beginner and Advanced Beginner. If you've felt uncomfortable in other Yoga classes, give us a try! You will leave class feeling open, rejuvenated, relaxed and calm.
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. As a Yoga professional and massage therapist, I enjoy offering my students and clients instruction and information on healing and being a part of the self-healing that takes place. Its an evolution that is constantly expanding for both student and instructor!
Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?
A. After completing massage school, I took a Reiki class at the School of Royal Yoga in NJ. I was impressed with the school's programs, and sought out Hatha Yoga as a way to heal my own back injury. I loved it so much that I continued into the Yoga Instructor Certification Course!
Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?
A. I have additional instruction on teaching Chair Yoga, and am certified in Children's Yoga, and have six additional trainings in Adult Beginner Hatha Yoga.
Q. If you have a complicated pricing system for your service, please give all the details here.
A. It's not necessarily complicated, but the price can vary according to where the class is offered. At the Manchester Community Center, walk-in rates are $15/class. If registering and paying in full for the session, or remainder of session, the classes are pro-rated from the time of registration at a rate of $12/class.
The class offered through the Beverly Recreation Department is usually priced at around $10/class, and payments are made through the Recreation Department.
