JP Hackett Co is a building contractor who specializes in interior and exterior finish carpentry. We can act as a general contractor, responsible for the coordination of all trades involved in a project or as finish carpenters, and punch list experts. We can work for a daily rate or cost estimate larger projects with a contract price. Over the years we have gained expertise in the repair and restoration of older homes as well as installing kitchen and baths, and windows and doors of all types. I live and work in a seaside town and have a lot of experience with building and repairing oceanfront homes from the ground up. In my carpentry shop, we handle small woodworking projects, door repair, screens, window glazing, historic sash, build the Alden Adirondack chair,and custom wood storm shutters. Lastly as a tradesman you really only want to do things that you are good at , so we also do interior painting, staining and finishing. I enjoy the finished project, and the process it takes to make every job come out right. A former customer said:" I can just leave it in your hands and know it will be what I wanted".
