Trim or Molding Installation
Joe put up crown molding for us along with repairing some woodwork damaged during a structural repair job. No small task because our home is 300 years old and nothing here is even! He even did a great job around the top of the covered beams. Lots of precise cutting! Looks great. Very professional and we feel we got a fair price. Would definitely call him again!Nov 21, 2019Verified
Hired Joe for some cabinet installation in our kitchen. We changed direction and decided to do some built in shelving. Joe didn’t blink and did an excellent job! He is a true professional and does quality work at reasonable rates. We would use his services again for future projects.Aug 16, 2019Verified
I hired Joe to install some interior and exterior doors for me. I never waited long for Joe to respond to questions and he was very clear in his communication regarding timeline and approach, etc. The work Joe did was top notch and he made the work look easy. Always pleasant to deal with, I would/will hire Joe again for future jobs.Nov 16, 2017Verified
Stair Installation, Remodel, or Repair
We hired Joe to redo our old stairs in our home. They needed A LOT of work and he did an unbelievable job- custom fitting each stair, working with me to determine a color and even increasing the size of the stairs to give us a bit more room. He was extremely respectful of our home - very neat and clean, always closing doors when going in and out, etc. Reallt appreciated his hard work and would definitely recommend him for any of your home jobs.Feb 26, 2017Verified
I can't say enough good things about Joseph's work on this project. He came in to fix a few issues I had on cabinets that were installed by someone else. Needless to say, he made the kitchen look like it was supposed to look. He was careful, precise and patient when I didn't have everything he needed and had to run to the store. He installed the hardware on the cabinets as well and they're exactly what I pictured and completely lined up with each other. He did great work and is just an all around good guy. Will definitely be calling for future projects. Thank you again!Mar 25, 2017Verified
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I look at each project , determine the material and labor cost and go from there.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Initially get some project details, discuss it over a phone call, then proceed with a site visit and go from there.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I started working for building contractors when I was 15 , during the summer months, mostly framing new homes. I was good in math and good with my hands and really just took to it. Later after college where I trained to be a teacher and did teach school initially, I again went back to carpentry. I worked for Duggan Brothers Construction in Scituate Ma and later Winthrop A . Baker Inc of Duxbury, both really good companies with highly skilled carpenters. I received great training in all aspects of homebuilding, repair and restoration. I later went into business for myself.
