About

I am very compassionate and I always go above and beyond. When training I take the time to ensure that the owner understands how to talk to the dog and work with it so there is a good relationship between human and dog. As every dog is different, I take the time to make sure that goals are met and that the dog is successfully trained. If one method doesn't work, I try others until the training is a success. I do not use tools such as prong collars, choke collars, etc. as I feel that dogs CAN and do listen if they are commanded correctly and if there is a good respect between human and dog and if there is a proper pack order set. I feel that although training tools like prong/choke collars may help the owner walk the dog easier they are negative for the dog and can cause behavioral issues down the road. I have been told that my love for dogs and for what I do stands out and I strive to make all my customers happy with the training experience so they have a positive relationship with their dog.

Katherine is great. She comes on time, is fantastic with the dog and communicates about their visits. She's very knowledgeable and I like that she is a dog training as well! Thanks Kathy!!

Kathy is an avid dog lover that has plenty of patience to work with many types of dogs. I have used her to help with dog training and to pet/house sit and she was great! Kathy is also resourceful in connecting and working with other trainers for help or suggestions in dealing with certain situations that may come crop up while training a dog. This provides a wealth of options and education for both the dog and their owners.

What types of customers have you worked with?
Train dogs in basic and advanced obedience including resolution for behavioral issues dog walk, dog sit, care for cats and other small animals including cleaning messes(poop scoop).
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
There is no substitution for honesty, reliability and experience. I don't just go to your home and walk your dog or train your dog. I have a genuine love for animals and it shows with what I do. I go above and beyond and if a client has an unsocialized dog, I make every effort to expose it to the outside world and socialize it. I also assist use my training experience to work with your dog and communicate with it. When growing up I had several cats and small animals so I give your pets the same love and attention that you would expect as the pets owner. Be sure you trust the person you hire and your pet loves and trusts you.
