We started communicated via text with someone from this company and was very specific with the details of the work to be done. He quoted a price for completely redoing the stairs, then replacing all the bricks that were crumbling, and after a lot of back and forth he finally quoted for what we wanted done. He then told us on a Wednesday that he would come on the weekend. On Saturday evening I asked if he would be coming on Sunday. He said no he had to finish up a job. We went back and forth via text. Ultimately, he changed the terms and said he would swing by Sunday get money from us and come the following weekend. We mentioned that we weren't comfortable with handing over money without a contract. He immediately messaged and said "You can find another professional."
