Wedding and Event Catering
We hired Colon for an executive men’s retreat at our house in Jamestown. He was one of the best chefs we’ve ever had and our standards were very high. He cooked every meal for us and went WAY above and beyond. He truly made the weekend! I will be hiring Colin for every future event we host. What a special guy with amazing talents! He was at our house preparing the most epic chicken parm when we arrived and was back at 5am the next morning preparing breakfast (more like break-FEAST). He then did tacos and salmon for lunch and a full lobster dinner. Unreal!!! Hire him and hold me accountable! THANK YOU COLIN- we all miss your cooking down here in ATLANTA!Sep 21, 2019VerifiedColin Shea - Executive Personal Chef's reply

Overall, Colin did a really nice job for us. He was very helpful in planning our New Year's Eve party. He helped us to plan the menu of heavy hors d'oeuvres, plan logistics and to find a bartender to work with us. It was challenging to find people who were available to work on the holiday, but he came through. The hors d'oeuvres were very well received by our guests. Everyone enjoyed the food and there were some real standouts. The seared tuna on fried wontons was excellent and a huge hit. The duck with cherry sauce, brie cheese cups, crab cakes and mini chicken tacos were also very good. We think that Colin provided a good value for the budget. Unfortunately, he got to our house a bit later than he intended and was rushed during the on-site preparation. Although he worked hard and got all the hors d'oeuvres done, I don't think he had the opportunity to plate and present the food as he intended based on our previous conversations. I would recommend Colin to anyone who is planning a cocktail party at their home. We had about 40 guests at our event. Most of the caterers that we spoke with weren't interested in any event less than $10,000. The remainder weren't very responsive to our inquiries.Jan 9, 2020VerifiedColin Shea - Executive Personal Chef's reply
Thank you Brett. Some circumstances were out of my control but overall I feel it was a very successful event and everyone had a great time. Happy New Year.
We had an amazing time with Colin! This was our first time using a private chef and we will certainly do it again! Colin worked with me to create a menu that we knew my family would love! He was on time and communicating with me on the day of the event! We loved that he walked us through what he was doing as he cooked, gave us tips and told us funny stories! His food was absolutely delicious!! Such great ingredients and freshness throughout! I wouldn’t hesitate to ask him back and highly recommend his work!Sep 2, 2020Verified
Colin and his team provided excellent service and food for a 4th of July event at my home. We all worked hard to provide a safe and healthy experience respecting Physical Distancing and Face Coverings and Hand Washing. Everything was greatJul 6, 2020Verified

Hi Belinda, THank you so much for your enthusiastic review! I think you and your friends are 5 stars too! Peace, Colin
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Cooking classes are 150.00 per person, but if you have a group the prices decreases. Meals I provide to a family of four are generally $250.00 plus the cost of groceries per week. Not too bad considering you now have time to spend with your children as they do their homework. Catering weddings and whatnot varies based on your budget.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Hello, once I here you are looking for a chef, I normally reach out to you and ask that you call me so that we may discuss specifics about your event and get you a proper quote.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have a personal library of over 200 cookbooks. I stay in touch with colleagues from Johnson & Wales and I am constantly seeking new procedures and food on the internet. Keeping up with trends.
