Hi there! Photography, to me, is something that shouldn't be forced, so I pride myself on capturing true personalities, love and emotion of events and between people. I don't like over-posed shots and aspire to capture the in-between moments and strive to provide images that can always bring you back to that time. Elyse was so amazing as our wedding photographer! She was polite and professional, and genuinely so pleasant to be around! Multiple people commented “wow, she was really everywhere!” she was buzzing around the whole venue grabbing great shots of friends, family, and decor, while of course capturing amazing shots of the big moments like the first look and our very busy toddlers. She is great and I highly recommend her! I also really appreciated her communication beforehand, and she sent a really thoughtful and helpful questionnaire about two weeks before asking pointed questions that helped me envision the day and quantify some of the things that were really important to me and my husband to have captured. My partner and I found Elyse on thumbtack when we were looking for a photographer for our September wedding of about 75 guests. We were struck by how beautiful her work was, paired with how affordable her pricing was compared to other photographers out there. From the beginning of our communication, Elyse was responsive, kind, and open to our vision of what we wanted our photos to be like. When we let Elyse know we had to move our backyard wedding to our basement last minute due to a nor’easter, Elyse didn’t flinch. She said, “I’m very flexible! I’ll work with whatever happens!” And boy did she. Our house was packed, the basement was packed, and she moved through the space capturing candids with ease. She coordinated family photos in the rain (within the 30 min time frame we asked for) with a thoughtfulness and planning of each family member’s needs. She was funny, personable, and so focused and professional. We cannot recommend her enough. As promised in the contract she gives out for clients to sign, we got a preview of the photos a day later and were truly blown away. I cannot stop looking at the photos and can’t wait to get the rest of them back. She helped two camera shy people like us feel so comfortable and to lean into the love we have for eachother, which we can see and feel in our photos. No matter what kind of wedding you are planning, book Elyse, it will be everything you hope for and more!!!

We feel so lucky to have found Elyse! She is a gifted photographer and extraordinarily easy to work with. She was frequently in touch with us in the lead up to the wedding, and was well-prepared for the day itself. She clearly is very experienced, and she made everyone she photographed look great!
