I hade a framing job and Horizon construction team did a great job. They removed the old floor, framed a new floor, removed a window and framed a new window.

Kumar was amazing! He did a great job pulling out my shutters and i hired him to remove a surface coming out of the wall that i didn’t like but he ultimately couldn’t pull it out and instead worked with me to come up with a storage and organizational solution to make use of the space because my biggest complaint was that it was a dumping ground and he completely put it back together how it was and repainted all the trim on the windows and patched anything that needed patching from removing the shutters - we’ve already come up with more projects to work on together!

Details: Sketches or a basic idea • Living room • Replace parts of existing structure • Repair existing structure • Less than 500 sq ft • Home

Kamar was great with communication, being specific about the scope of work, punctuality and providing value for the money. He is easy to work with I would recommend him and his company to anyone.

Our experience with this contractor was extremely disappointing. We were promised that two bathrooms, a sunroom, a kitchen and the basement would be completed within two months. However, after 3.5 months, even one bathroom was not fully completed.

The project was constantly delayed, and communication was very difficult throughout the process. Whenever we requested changes to work that did not match our expectations, we were told it would be considered a change order and would require additional payment, leaving us with very little flexibility to make decisions about our own home.

Because the project took so much longer than promised, we had to stay away from our home for 3.5 months, moving from place to place and dealing with significant inconvenience and stress. The entire experience was emotionally exhausting and caused our family a great deal of frustration.

We hired this contractor expecting professionalism, transparency, and respect for timelines. Unfortunately, our experience fell far short of those expectations. Based on our experience, we would never recommend working with this contractor.

Details: Install bathroom tiles or flooring • Full remodel of bathroom • Update style • Fix water damage • Full bath • Home

Horizon Landscaping and property management's reply
I’m sorry that you feel your experience was negative, but I would also like to provide the full picture. I worked hard to help your family secure a significantly higher insurance settlement because the original amount offered would not have been enough to repair your home properly and safely. Afterward, there were repeated requests for additional work at no cost. Although I agreed to build two closets free of charge, you also requested that I frame the basement at no additional cost, which was unreasonable considering the labor, materials, and time involved. Regarding the timeline, the permitted construction work took approximately two months. Before work could begin, there was an additional one-month delay because the city required plans for the permit, and you initially did not want to provide or pay for them. Once the permit was issued, the project moved forward. There were also delays each time a payment was due. Without the proper funds being available, the project could not continue, and these payment delays affected the overall timeline. Throughout the project, the scope changed frequently. I was repeatedly told how to perform the work, and members of my crew were approached and hired directly without my knowledge. Despite these challenges, I continued working to complete a safe and substantial renovation of your home. As I explained several times, I offer competitive pricing. The approved budget did not support having six workers on the project around the clock, especially while also completing additional work that was not included in the original scope. Regarding the proposed additional bathroom in the sunroom, that was a separate job discussed after my experience working with you on the original project. Because of the circumstances and the increasingly difficult working relationship, I kindly suggested that you find another contractor for that work. I remained willing to complete my contractual obligations under the previous agreement, and you had originally asked me to perform the additional work because you were satisfied with the quality of my work. However, after I declined the separate job, the situation became even more hostile. I stand behind the work that was completed and believe it is important that the circumstances surrounding the budget, payment delays, permit delay, scope changes, and additional requests are represented accurately.

I had an excellent experience with Horizon Landscaping. I needed a shed painted on very short notice due to a time-sensitive property closing, and they went above and beyond to accommodate my schedule. Their professionalism, promptness, and attention to detail were outstanding. The quality of the work exceeded my expectations, and thanks to their quick turnaround, we were able to close on time. Horizon Landscaping truly saved the day, and I highly recommend their services to anyone in need of reliable, high-quality work.
