Hi I’m Lou Donato. My body recomposition programs are the result of 12 years experience working at the highest level as a personal trainer and nutritionist, learning not just how to create amazing physical transformations, but also to help create sustainable health habits. These important habits allow those on my training programs not only to achieve their ideal body, but to also foster a healthy energy and vitality that makes any task in life easier to accomplish. I have three core objectives for my clients that are present in everything I do: 1. Deliver your ideal physique We start here not just because this has long been our primary expertise but also because we acknowledge that being in great shape and feeling fit helps to rid the mind any negative self-talk that can be unproductive over many areas of your life. Once we’ve quieted those voices we have a far greater opportunity to move forward with a still mind. 2. Establish a healthy lifestyle My training programs have two primary objectives. The first is to achieve results on a short time scale, typically over 6 – 24 weeks. This means you will be training hard and eating the kind of food that is going to help you achieve your goal. The other focus is on your health ten years from now. This ensures that we never include anything in your programs that would detract from your overall health and well-being. Every workout regiment allows for full recovery, every meal plan is designed for nutritional diversity and we include supplement recommendations, lifestyle modifications, and mind-body practices to help offset any stress or fatigue incurred on your body. 3. Fuel Your Ambition Having a great physique and maintaining optimal health is an amazing achievement in life. It’s also a great springboard for sitting down and deciding exactly what you would like to achieve in your life, in terms of career, business, goals, creative projects, and building a fulfilling lifestyle in general. You’ll be feeling so good on our programs that you may be surprised how creative you feel and just how much energy you have to spur those long-held goals and dreams into action.

I’ve been training with Lou for a little over two months now after stumbling upon Thumbtack and couldn’t be happier with my decision on going forward with training with him. Starting off I’m by no means a fitness freak or an athlete, just wanted to get into better shape to improve doing the activities I enjoy such as hiking. After working with Lou for this short amount of time I’ve seen amazing gains in my endurance and strength, I’ve revisited locations that I’ve hiked and its crazy how much the training has assisted in my ability to carry more weight and trek longer distances. As others have stated Lou is extremely knowledgeable, which is proven through his individually customized programs for each session making each work-out new, never boring and positively challenging. The guy just really knows his craft, he’ll explain every maneuver’s benefits to the physiological level. On top of this Lou is like your nutritional guide book, you have a question about something he knows the answer or he will find it for you. This is great for when you need help (like myself) on altering your diet and what foods to try to lose weight and get the most out of your workouts. I have to echo what others have said in terms of recommending Lou for anybody, not only because of what I’ve listed above but because he takes training seriously (in a good way) and makes sure you do not injure yourself and performing everything with proper weight/technique. I guess I could write more but truly, give him a shot you won’t regret it.

Before I walked into the studio gym, I wasn't sure about a personal trainer. Lou made me completely change my perspective. I'm a fairly athletic person, but struggle with proper nutrition and weight loss. Lou helped me by showing me example workouts, stretches, and healthy dietary alternatives that will help me reach my goals. He proved himself very knowledgable in the areas of nutrition and fitness. Lou was extremely helpful and seemed to genuinely want to help me. I would recommend him to anyone of any fitness level.

Lou is awesome. I have been training with him for about a month and have already seen great results. He is extremely knowledgable about both exercise and nutrition. He customizes the workouts and changes them so you don't get bored. He is very flexible and genuinely cares about his clients. Lou is very passionate about fitness and I would highly reccomend him to anyone who is looking for anything from intense weight loss to just toning up.

I thought I just needed a trainer but Lou's nutritional advice has been extremely helpful. He is a very approachable, nice guy, don't be afraid of his muscle pictures on here. Not only does he train me once a week, but he checks up on my MyFitnessPal (my choice) and offers me tips throughout the week. Really a great arrangement.
