About
I have enjoyed working with men and women, individuals and groups, and a wide age range over the last 20+ years. The majority of my current clientele are middle-age and seniors.
I love helping people become their “best self.” I take pride in my ability to really support individual effort, understand specific conditions/limitations and to remain a cheerleader for as long as is necessary. I hold specialty certifications in Weight Loss as well as in Fall Prevention.
My favorite way to help clients achieve results is through interval training. No equipment is needed. Just one’s own body and space to perform exercise. I am happy to travel to others homes, gyms, or to have people come to me. I always say that I can make a workout out of nothing. All I request is determination and belief that success is within reach!
My satisfaction comes from helping others. I feel tremendous pride in my clients and am here 100% to support them.

First rate! I high recommend Suzanne. She's a top notch personal trainer. She has vast experience and knowledge of fitness and is constantly learning new things and sharing them with me. I am a 57-year-old mother of two who was looking for a trainer who understands the aging female body. I am not out to be a body builder but looking for toning, more energy, some moderate weight loss and anything I can do to halt muscle loss, which comes with aging. I work with Suzanne once a week and then do it on my own a few more times before her next visit. Suzanne is punctual, enthusiastic, creative in her approach, and a pleasure to work with. I heartily recommend her!

My wife and I selected Suzanne as our personal trainer because of her unique background including being the mother of 6 kids. We were initially drawn to her in this way because of the incredible work/life balance she juggles daily. In addition, we read her extremely positive reviews and were impressed. Then once we met her we were blown away by the amount of education and experience she brought to our training sessions. My wife and I have different goals concerning our health; for me it is to bulk up and for my wife it is to tone. Suzanne balances well between us both keeping our goals in focus. She is knowledgeable about Nutrition and is very encouraging. We strongly recommend her, especially for those who are serious about making changes to their health.

I’ve been training with Suzanne for about 4 months after my previous trainer left to pursue other endeavors. She has been amazing. She had really helped me to focus on my specific goals and even helped me to set them in a way that alows me feel successful. She pushes me when I need pushing and slows me down when needed so I get the most out of each session. I’ve worked with a lot of trainers and she is one of the best.

I have nothing but praise for my coach Suzanne Horgan. Im an extreme high A person, meaning Im naturally self motivated and driven. I love working out during the week and road-biking 50 to 100 miles on the weekends.
Eight months ago I drove myself too hard and completely tore my right patella tendon during a workout and was off my knee for five months. I hired Suzanne as my coach to help me rehabilitate myself to get back into top-notch shape; my right leg muscles had atrophied and my overall training had waned.
Suzanne took time to research and design the best training program for me; then coached me, pushed me and drove me in ways that I couldnt begin to think of on my own each time we trained. Suzanne would also leave me with training instructions to follow until we our next training session.
Its been three months since Suzanne started coaching me and I am very happy to say that her expert skills in coaching and training has gotten me back to full physical fitness. Two weeks ago I took a visit to California and climbed 4000 feet up a mountain on my road bike and it was as if I had not missed a beat.
Im three months ahead of where I should be in healing process and physical fitness and as an added bonus Im now getting washboard abs; this was something that I was never able to accomplish on my own. I attribute much of my success to the thoughtful, hard nose, kick my butt training that I received from Suzanne.
Shes an awesome coach.

Suzzanne has been my trainer for a year, helping to improve balance, posture and muscle tone. She knows the right routines for seniors - and when to hold us back! Now we are starting interval training for cardio on treadmill and Newstep - increasing work in stages - doable and satisfying. Bill L.

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge between $75 to $115/session, depending on location, number of sessions weekly, etc. I do offer discounts to clients who travel to me, who book multiple sessions, and to groups.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My first session is always an intake where I try to get a very clear picture of my client(s). This involves health history, physical readiness, and a baseline assessment. Following the assessment, I work with my client to form short, moderate and long-term goals, as well as a realistic plan of how to proceed.
Being a Personal Trainer is like being coach, teammate and cheerleader all I the same time. I instruct. I work with you. And I cheer you on every step of the way.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Most recently, I completed an intense training in Fall Prevention. Regardless of age, clients need to strengthen muscles and bones. I currently teach classes that incorporate resistance bands to improve balance.
Further, I finished a course as a Weight Management Consultant. The course required me to understand the overweight, obese, and morbidly obese client. I fully understand both the physical and the mental limitations that are involved in developing an exercise regime. As a certified Metafit coach, I use High Intensity Interval Training (H.I.I.T.) to successfully achieve weight loss.
