Private Dance Lessons
Betty is an unbelievable dance instructor and helped my wife and I with our first dance for our wedding in September. We tried a studio in Boston before finding Betty and the difference was night and day. Betty really worked with us to develop a routine that fit us and that we were comfortable with. She is beyond experienced and was able to teach us in a manner that was logical and didn’t try to draw out the classes to make money (like some of the places in Boston) - we had the routine down after 4 classes. We are huge fans of Betty and can’t thank her enough for helping us nail our first dance!

Betty was great! She was very understanding and helpful in teaching us newbies learn how to prepare for our first dance at our wedding! She coached us through with different methods and was very patient with us when we were making mistakes and took the time to make sure we understood how different transitions worked before we added more things.

Private Dance Lessons
Betty is an expert dancer and teacher and helped us prepare the first dance for our wedding. We had absolutely zero dancing experience prior and Betty helped us put together and perfect a routine in 4 lessons. She was very patient with us and learned our song very well so she could customize the routine to match. We highly recommend her and will definitely go back if we have any future dances to prepare for.
Jun 11, 2019VerifiedKitchen Dancing - Betty Hood's replyKeep practicing and you'll be a big hit at your wedding! (I still can't get your song out of my head - not a bad thing, haha)

Private Dance Lessons
We took dance lessons so we could have a first dance that our guests wouldn't be bored looking at. It went great! Betty is patient and knowledgeable. My husband has two left feet and has trouble keeping a beat, but she was actually able to teach him how to dance in a way that didn't make him feel bad. The lessons were fun, and my husband had a great time. We were able to nail down a routine in just 4 sessions, and it was way better than the sleepy waltz circle my brother-in-law did at his wedding (that took him 10 lessons with a different instructor). So in short, we had fun, showed up a family member, and picked up a new skill. What else could we want?
May 20, 2019VerifiedKitchen Dancing - Betty Hood's replyHe may have started out with 2 left feet, but ended up with only one!! Glad you enjoyed yourselves, sounds as if it went well.

Private Dance Lessons
Betty is an absolute pleasure to work with and is an incredibly effective instructor. In 4 lessons she was able to design and teach my partner and I a first dance for our wedding reception. It is coming up in a few weeks, but we have the whole routine down to practice between now and then! She is skillful at switching from lead to partner, which is so helpful in providing instruction. If we weren't moving away from Boston soon, my partner and I would have loved to work with her for longer term lessons. We highly recommend her!
