I offer customized training at reasonable rates. I do not offer "canned" lessons. I tailor the training sessions to my client's individual needs and conduct the training sessions in the client's home, in the dog's unique environment.
I have earned the "Certified Professional Dog Trainer - Knowledge Assessed" (CPDT-KA) designation from the Certification Council of Professional Dog Trainers. The CCPDT is an independent certifying agency which offers standardized testing to certify the candidate's knowledge of modern science-based dog training principles.
I am an honors graduate of Animal Behavior College, a highly recognized postsecondary technical school which specializes in animal career training programs.
I enjoy the "problem solving" aspect of my job. I enjoy seeing that breakthrough moment when a client learns how to solve an ongoing problem with their dog. I like having the opportunity to show my clients that there is a light at the end of the tunnel and that there are solutions to their dog's frustrating behaviors. I can teach them the skills they need to help their dog succeed.

Robyn has been extremely helpful training our 2 year old Bichon. He was having some behavior issues and after just a week and a half of having sessions with her we have noticed a significant change in his behavior. We highly recommend Robyn, she is very thorough and never rushes a session. She takes her time going through the training and explains every step that we take. Our little dog is much happier now that we are able to give him the right kind of positive guidance he needed.

Robyn was great. We got a rescue puppy at 3 1/2 months and did 6 weeks of training. Brady is my fiancé and I’s first puppy so we really had no idea what we were doing. I’m so glad we decided to hire her because he is a little handful. We started seeing the results by the third week. I think the main thing to make sure the training works is to remember to work with your dog every day. I could tell the weeks I didn’t spend as much time doing training sessions with him, the less he progressed. It’s definitely not magic and it’s a lot of hard work, we still have a lot of progress to make but it’s so worth it. Thank you Robyn!

We were so lucky to find Robin. She is so friendly and knowledgeable about dogtraining. Our Teddy loved working with her, as did we. She helped turn our rambunctious puppy into a nicely mannered member of the family. I highly recommend Robin for your pet training needs.

We are half way into our 6 sessions and are extremely pleased. She is very knowledgeable and has a great way with our dog. Robyn is always on time and though the sessions are 1 hour she does not watch the clock instead concentrating on what she does best! Looking forward to our next session! What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer special pricing for prepaid blocks of sessions.
Single session fee: $100.00
Prepaid block of 3 sessions: $270.00 (Savings of $10 per session)
Prepaid block of 6 sessions: $480.00 (Savings of $20 per session)
Prepaid block of 9 sessions: $630.00 (Savings of $30 per session)
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I offer a free initial consultation which gives the client an opportunity to meet me and ask questions prior to committing to a training program. If I am hired we then review my contract and schedule the training sessions. Sessions are conducted once a week for approximately one hour per session.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have earned the CPDT-KA desigantion from the Certification Council of Professional Dog Trainers. I am also an honors graduate of Animal Behavior College, and a member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers. I have attended many webinars and seminars offered by well respected trainers in the industry. I also participate in discussion groups with fellow trainers. I have an extensive library and keep up to date with modern training methods. I am always adding more facets to my training repertoire.
