- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
SERVICE CALLS - We charge a $100 service fee for repair and maintenance services, unless we have a maintenance contract with you, plus $80/hour. If we repair your system in one hour or less, the total charge is $180. ADVISOR CALLS - We charge $195 for a basic assessment of what you need for a new HVAC system, including detailed specifications, so you're able to judge which proposals are best. You will not have the disadvantage of negotiating a very technical process without the knowledge you need. You can give our specifications to your installation company to make absolutely sure everything is done properly and to code. We can also review your proposals and give you detailed actual performance data to show you which equipment is best for you. We can also provide you with the ACCA reports necessary to obtain the proper permits from your building department.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
SERVICE CALLS - We will NOT try to sell you a new system if you don't need one. We have no incentive to do so - we do not sell new systems. ADVISOR CALLS - please see above.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We have 35 years of experience in the field, and have had extensive courses in HVAC, Heat Pump technology. We've had advanced courses in Manual J, Manual D, and Manual S processes and protocols. We have extensive training in the best software available to the industry. We are EPA 608 Certified by local 877 of the International Union of Operating Engineers.
