He did a great job! I'm definitely working with him again. He really paid attention to every little detail and made sure everything was perfect. He is an engineer, who understand how things work andfix it correctly. He is an amazing problem-solver.

He actually did two jobs for me. The first one was for bifold doors. It was a tricky one, installing them in a closet from the 1960s that was originally for sliding doors. He was super precise with his cuts, adjusted the door opening, fixed the door size, filled the cut doors with additional wood peices, and made sure it was all lined up and working smoothly.

The next door was a sliding one. Again, he was so precise with his cuts and alignment, and he installed a circular plate handles. He didn't even have the right cutter for it, but he went out and bought one himself just to get the job done!

Alex did a job great removing a wall air conditioner and repairing the wall. It looks like nothing was ever there. Also he installed a baseboard and it looks beautiful.

We are so glad that we found Alex here on Thumbtack! He was able to come by to our house in Norwood promptly to check out a job we were looking to get done in a hurry before painters arrived to paint the interior of our house. We needed to remove about 4" of wood from our mantelpiece that was too close to the fireplace opening, and we were having serious trouble doing it ourselves, and then needed to seal it up so it didn't look like something was missing once we removed the wood. We found some old trim in our basement to help, but Alex was so fast and his work was truly seamless it looked like the fireplace was always supposed to be this way, especially after painting. He didn't flinch when a dead mouse fell out of the old woodwork either! We will be hiring him again in a heartbeat.

Alex completed everything in a very timely fashion. Especially impressive was his installation of a missing piece of baseboard using two leftover pieces because they no make the style I have in my house. It looks so great you'd never know it was two pieces. Attention to detail on every item he completed. I will definitely have him back again soon to check off a few more things on my list.
