Introduction: Feeling stuck in your current circumstances? The most successful people in the world understand that even the luckiest lives and businesses eventually come up against obstacles they can’t seem to overcome with the thinking that brought them to that point. When that happens, the smart ones do the sensible thing: they hire professionally trained, certified and experienced Coaches, who not only know how to help them break through and overcome those barriers, but can teach them how to master them, so problems like those never have a chance to sideline them again! That’s what I’m offering you. Hi, I’m Doug Turet and I have been coaching people since 1977. I am a trained, dually certified Solution Focused Coach and Transformational Coach and I not only help ordinary people to understand themselves and their worlds better, but prepare them with the kinds of tools and processes they need in order to live truly _extraordinary_ lives. (And yes, that also means being more comfortable in their own skin and sleeping more restfully at night!) “The two most important days of your life are the day you were born and the day you find out why.” — Mark Twain So, are you tired of making excuses and only wishing things could be better? Have you already lived through enough mornings of dragging yourself out of bed and trying to figure out how to get and stay motivated throughout the day? Is RIGHT NOW a good time for your life to improve? If you’re ready to make the changes to improving the quality of your life, I am willing to commit the time and energy. When you call me, I’ll prove that to you.

Doug is one of the nicest people you'll meet, and his coaching skills aren't half bad either :) . Doug really helped me better understand myself and what I am looking for in terms of a job role. He always checked in on me to keep me focused and on task with action items we set in place. He also understood and genuinely was invested in me and helping to fix my issues. Even after our sessions ended, Doug and I have kept in touch with eachother. For anyone (like me) who doesnt know anything about a Life Coach or what it entails, I would highly recommend giving Doug a chance to work on your problems.

Hey, Vincenz’! Not only am I grateful for your warm, funny and insightful review, but I had an absolute blast working with you and hope there’ll be more opportunities to do so in the future! Thank you for being willing to bring your best self forward, Vinny. It was an absolute honor to watch you discover just how capable you really are!

Doug Turet has been a patient and very effective coach in my experience. I had been holding on to some of my past habits and beliefs even though they were obviously not helping me. I feel that it is sometimes difficult to look at our own lives objectively, for we are influenced by our past experiences and encounters, and so used to our current habits that we may not recognize the need to make changes in our lives. I knew I wanted a better path and a more fulfilling future in terms of work and self-growth but I was unsure as to what steps I would need to take in order to get there. I worked on and off with Doug for a few years and with his help I was able to accept and release the limiting beliefs and self-defeating habits that kept me from realizing my potential. I now have two jobs that I love, and both came as a result of the work that Doug and I did together.

Thanks Adele! You know, among the moments I will always remember from our sessions together were those looks of curiosity, realization, inspiration and then finally excitement that crossed your face, each time a new lightbulb would switch on about a strength you’d never realized you had, before. Isn’t it amazing how much you’ve accomplished since we began this process? You have every right to be proud of yourself; I know that I certainly am!

Thank you so much for that, Bree! Not only was it an honor to work with you, but the best part was having a ringside seat to watch you evolve into the international superstar you are today. I can’t wait to hear about your latest adventure!!!

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Over the past eight or ten years, I have seen coaching rates that ranged from $100-$10,000 an hour, and have personally paid different coaches between $200-800 an hour for their insights and guidance at different times. I generally price my time in the bottom quarter of that range, so that those who are most in need of my help can gain access to it. I’m not out to “get rich quick”, but I do expect to be fairly compensated for helping you to live the kind of life you’ve always deserved but may never have believed was possible for you, and I think that that’s fair for both of us.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I always begin with a conversation of shared discovery — either in person, online or over the phone — which serves as a jumping-off point, during which we’ll both get an intuitive sense of who the other person is, and whether or not you and I will feel comfortable committing to work together on an ongoing basis. I never charge a penny for this, because I don’t think it’s morally or ethically fair for me to ask or expect you to pay for something you can’t possibly evaluate, beforehand. (And frankly, I don’t want to work with just anyone who comes my way! Some folks, yes, but others, “not so much”.) Once we’ve had that chance to get a feel for one another, if we both agree that “this feels good”, I’ll offer you the choice of a couple of different paths that we can follow toward realizing some of your goals and dreams, then we’ll compare schedules and I’ll email you a coaching agreement and a copy of my privacy policy, so that we’re all on the same page and can begin to build on a solid foundation.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

My training for coaching began in early childhood, as the son of a doctor and a pianist/music teacher, during which time I learned the immense senses of joy, satisfaction and personal accomplishment that come from helping others to grow, thrive and realize their dreams. More recently, in my trainings as a guided imagery facilitator (1979), massage therapist (licensed in 2012), Access Consciousness Bars Process practitioner/trainer (2011), medical massage practitioner (2013) and both life coach and solution-focused coach (2014) and beyond, I have continued my journey of helping others in as many ways as I possibly can.
