I have been training at Connors MMA for about a month now, both jiu jitsu and Muay Thai. I dont have to worry about wearing funny outfits and bowing down to my sensei, its just straight grinding and improving. Rory, John, and all the other coaches are simply amazing. Every question I have is answered with expertise and I learn something new every day. The level of guidance and support Ive experienced makes it feel like a private class. Not only that, but the community at this gym is full of amazing, genuine, knowledgeable people that, especially as a beginner, have helped me learn so much to the point where I feel like I just have an infinite amount of coaches. This has resulted, in my humble opinion, in a solid amount of progression since I started. I couldnt be happier, and I highly highly recommend Connors MMA to anybody, especially beginners looking to build their confidence with a helping hand.

I've been going to Connors for the past 10 years. It is a great gym filled with incredible instructors and students. The quality of the training has been consistently strong and it is very safe and clean training environment. Everyone is there to learn and improve and it is a very inclusive place. If you are interested in starting your BJJ journey or are looking to improve your game, this is the place to be.

John and Rory are the best in the business. I been training there since 2013. They have created great community and system to help you improve.If you are thinking of trying out Jiu Jitsu this is the place to do it. They are the best Jiu Jitsu gym in Norwood and the area.

As a 54 year old police officer looking to improve my ability to safely control aggressive subjects, I started training no Gi Jiu Jitsu at Connors Martial Arts Academy 8 months ago. Coaches John and Rory are excellent instructors who immediately welcomed me to begin my journey. I highly recommend stepping outside of your comfort zone and trying something that is humbling but even more rewarding. The teaching and training methods at Connors are vey practical and applicable. My girlfriend is from Norwood and we came here to escape hurricane Milton. I had been following the school after hearing about them on a podcast. I searched schools close to where Im staying and to my delight they popped up. Ive been nursing an injury and after seeing they happened to be in the same town I knew I had to go test my knee out. High level training. When I looked around there wasnt a scrub in the room that being said if youre a beginner this place would be perfect for you. No egos. Im 41 and 140lbs and wouldnt be nervous about getting injured here. So if youre older, smaller or a woman youd be comfortable in with this group of men. Thank you for having me. When I come to town in the future Ill definitely come back.
