FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have recently adopted a new policy or philosophy regarding compensation. Based upon mutual trust, please pay me what you wish. Please try to consider time and travel, but I don't want to set a fee that might create a barrier between you and me. Fair enough? I don't require a deposit. You may pay me on the day of the wedding or at the rehearsal, when I collect the license from you. For many years I have offered an ACTIVE DUTY MILITARY DISCOUNT. In light of the new fee policy, maybe that's redundant, but I am always honored to serve those who serve.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I love to meet with "Nearly-Weds" and get acquainted so that I can create a ceremony that reflects their unique personalities. So a face-to-face or Skype consultation usually gets the process started. I email a draft to the couple (unless they prefer to be surprised) and make whatever adjustments until it's "just right" for both of them.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
As an educator and clinician I have always sought to connect with and understand those I serve. My fondness for the performing arts contributes to the joy I find while celebrating a wedding.
