Officiating a wedding is a unique privilege, and after 25 years in this work I still feel honored every time I stand with a couple. I especially enjoy getting to know the nearly-weds so I can understand not only their preferences for the ceremony, but also their personalities and story.

5 Stars aren’t enough to rate just how wonderful of an experience we had with TJ. He commits to what the couple wants and then goes above and beyond. He has this comforting persona, and felt like we were being married by a family member. There’s no doubt in my mind, this man was made to marry beautiful couples, especially the weird ones like us that say we’re doing a Viking wedding. He commits to the bit, my husband and I are overjoyed and have come up with one new thing everyday since the wedding that we loved what TJ did in our ceremony. I don't even think I can efficiently sum up in words how incredible TJ is! Please view the photos I've shared to see for yourself the genuine happiness, laughter and joy this man is capable of creating. We got more compliments on our officiant than any other part of our wedding! We love him, our friends and family loved him, and so will anyone who is so lucky to work with him! He really took the time to get to know us and then make sure our ceremony was reflective of us and our story. Not only is he great at what he does but he is such a beautiful soul and so much fun to have with you to celebrate!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have recently adopted a new policy or philosophy regarding compensation. Based upon mutual trust, please pay me what you wish. Please try to consider time and travel, but I don't want to set a fee that might create a barrier between you and me. Fair enough?
I don't require a deposit. You may pay me on the day of the wedding or at the rehearsal, when I collect the license from you.
For many years I have offered an ACTIVE DUTY MILITARY DISCOUNT. In light of the new fee policy, maybe that's redundant, but I am always honored to serve those who serve.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I love to meet with "Nearly-Weds" and get acquainted so that I can create a ceremony that reflects their unique personalities. So a face-to-face or Skype consultation usually gets the process started. I email a draft to the couple (unless they prefer to be surprised) and make whatever adjustments until it's "just right" for both of them.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
As an educator and clinician I have always sought to connect with and understand those I serve. My fondness for the performing arts contributes to the joy I find while celebrating a wedding.
