We had a carpenter ant problem. I could see them around the house, but I could not locate the nest, but could find signs of damage. I called Squared Away Pest Control, Guy was very calming on the phone, he asked questions to help figure out the scope of the problem. He determined that he needed to get there as soon as possible. Guy was very courteous and professional, he explained what we were facing, the nest was probably in a wall of the attic. Guy went over how we would search, and depending on what we found, the best options to get rid of the ants. Guy explained what to look for, fras(SP?) and started searching the home. He crawled into a narrow part of the attic and found signs for the ant, leading back down an exterior wall. We reviewed the options and Guy recommended a spray that would kill off the ants exposed to it and they would take it back to the nest and expose others. This spray had the lowest impact on people and pets. Guy hit the areas that we targeted and other areas they could be at. He explained that it could take up to a few days to effect the entire colony and he would return in a couple of days to check for signs and spray again if necessary. Within a few hours, there were many ants in the house, Guy must have hit close to the nest, all of these ants died and we swept them up. There were ants wandering and dying for the rest of the day. When guy returned in two days, there were no ants at all. Guy explained everything to me, and what I need to do going forward to keep them from the house. Guy walked the perimeter and showed me the access points for the ants, tree branches shrubs, and recommendation on how to protect my home going forward. Guy also said he would come back in the warm weather/spring and spray the perimeter around the house to keep the ants at bay. Guy, and Squared Away were great, professional and courteous. Knew what they were doing, explained everything, and went over all the options before we decided on the best approach. And he was calming, it is nerve wracking to have pests in your home, causing damage. Guy reassured us and solved our problem. I hope I don’t need his services again, but if I have a pest problem again, Squared Away is the first call I will be making.

My daughter is allergic to bees (and such). Guy and his team were at our home setting traps to see where the bees were coming from. Then they used environmentally safe products and got rid of the problem. We really do feel safe now. Thank you!

All estimates are free. A typical single family residential rodent problem can be done for under $225. This includes up to three visits. We also have competitive pricing for bed bug detection and eradication, and all other pest control problems, including cockroaches, ants, spiders, and moths. We guarantee our work.

SAPC owner, Guy Raffa, has been in the pest control business for 10 years. All technicians are licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and have relevant certifications. All technicians are required to and do attend regular continuing education courses, which are offered by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and others.
