I came across Tom while I was at a dinner party. Casual talk of the to do lists people had. I said I didn’t mind cleaning gutters or raking leave's. I had bought paint to do my bathroom 6 months ago. I had just come to the realization that I really didn’t want to do it. I don’t like painting, I’m not good at it, but I didn’t want to pay a fortune to have someone else do it.
This guy grabbed his phone and pulled up Tom Shay’s number. He said call this guy I had him paint my mother’s kitchen. Totally reasonable, quick, clean, professional job. You won’t regret it.
I called Tom a couple of days later. He called me right back. Asked me if he could stop by after work one day this week. He showed up polite, clean cut guy with a certain focus. Straight forward no talking in circles. Come to find Tom was a former US Marine. This explained a lot and made me feel comfortable with the quality of person who was working in my house.
About 10 days later on a Saturday Tom showed up and completed the project I couldn’t bring myself to attempt. Quick, clean, professional job done at a totally reasonable price. Everything I was told about Tom and a bit more.
As I was fumbling around trying to mount a tv to the wall without the right tools. Tom was getting ready to leave could see my obvious frustration. He said you need a (whatever) bit. He said hold on, came back 5 minutes later with bit and couple of little tools. Takes the lead on my little project. Half hour later I’m sitting on the couch watching my 60 inch tv. Tom was driving home with a healthy tip for going above and beyond. And hopefully grabbing a well deserved beer for a job well done!! I couldn’t recommend Tom highly enough!! As it was told to me “call him you won’t regret it!!” And you won’t either!!
