I've had three lessons with David and I am very happy with the progress. I have been playing guitar for 35 years felt like I was in a rut. David has challenged me with learning new scales, new patterns, and added some music theory. I'm getting out of that rut quickly! I love that David is harmony with my favorite musical styles (blues and blues based rock, and a bit of jazz) and is extremely knowledgeable in all areas. Highly recommended!Jan 7, 2021Verified

Guitar Lessons (for adults)
David has been teaching me guitar for a little over a month now. I have already seen great advances in my technique, rhythm, and understanding of music. I have been playing guitar for 9 years off and on, and I have never had professional lessons. I can say that after a month with David, I am playing better than I ever have and believe that my guitar playing skills will continue to progress rapidly with David's help. His teaching technique is very casual and fun, almost conversational, and his insights are spot on. He is exactly what I hoped for in an instructor when I started looking at guitar lessons and I would highly recommend him for anyone who loves guitar, regardless of their skill level. He is a 'must hire' professional!May 6, 2016Verified

Dave has been teaching me and my kids music for the past few months and is excellent to work with. He’s a top tier pro and excellent teacher. Further, he’s excellent with kids. Book him.Jan 23, 2019Verified

David is a pro. All the way. He has been working with my son for a couple years and he couldn't be more thrilled. Take lessons with him because he absolutely WAS voted best guitar teacher in Newton, MA! :)Feb 7, 2016

- How did you get started doing this type of work?I've been playing guitar for a long time and thought this would be a very cool way to give back. I started doing this while working in Los Angeles as a recording engineer. I currently do both in Boston.
