FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Every project is priced in writing before any work starts, and the number you approve is the number you pay unless you ask for a change. I do not run discounts or promotions. What I do instead is put the scope in writing so you can see exactly what is included and what is not. If something unexpected turns up behind a wall or under a threshold, which happens in older homes, you get the cost in writing before I touch it. No surprise line items at the end.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
It starts with a conversation and a visit. I come out, look at the actual conditions, and ask the questions that decide the job: how the structure ties into the house, what is likely behind the finish, and what you want the finished space to do for you. Then you get a written scope and price, not a verbal number. If we move forward, the schedule goes in writing too, and you hear from me on working days about what got done and what happens next. That is the whole promise: you will always know what happens next.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a Massachusetts registered Home Improvement Contractor, registration #220750, and I hold a Massachusetts Construction Supervisor License. Most of what I know came from years on job sites, finish carpentry first and then full remodels, and that is the standard every project is held to. I stay current on code and on manufacturer installation requirements, because those change and because installing a product outside its instructions is how a warranty quietly disappears.
