Introduction: I have my bachelor's and master's degrees in civil and environmental engineering. I have been tutoring students in math for the past 10-15 years in pre-algebra, Algebra I, Algebra II, geometry and trig. I also have my license for middle school math and tutored students at the Greater Lawrence Technical School who were in danger of not passing the 10th grade math MCAS. I love what I do. I love getting into the mind of students, to see where the gaps are, filling them in and watching their confidence grow.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
The student that will be entering the tutoring sessions needs to be open to the idea. A tutor meeting once a week cannot possibly cover all the ground that has been covered in class, so students should be organized, upfront and candid about their areas of weakness to use the time during a session most wisely
