I highly recommend MZ Painting without hesitation. This family-run business truly impressed us from start to finish. They arrived on time every single day, even working over the weekend to accommodate our schedule, which was above and beyond what we expected.Their attention to detail is unmatched. They repaired all cracks and seams flawlessly, and the finished result looks brand new and absolutely gorgeous. The transformation is stunning! Beyond their craftsmanship, the team was courteous, kind, and an absolute joy to have around. They were hardworking, respectful of our space, and incredibly thorough. Matthaios did a good job with my rear deck. Removed the rotten/beat up planks, installed new ones, and gave the whole deck a nice paint.
Some other contractors wanted to charge me well over 1k for a ridiculous amount of work (ie, sand, seal and paint etc). After Matthaios looked at the deck, he told me most of the wood were in good shape with little damage so that wasn’t necessary. Honest feedback like that is always appreciated.
So far it’s holding up good. Thank you!

Matthaios did a great job pressure washing and painting my deck. He made repairs and replaced boards in a number of places where necessary, completed the job very quickly, and was communicative throughout the job. I’ll definitely hire Matthaios for all my future painting, small repairs, and odd job sorts of projects. 1 before pic and 2 after pics attached.

I hired MZ painting and Matthaios was excellent. When the owner of the business does the work instead of leaving it to underlings you know you get the best quality workmanship! The trim and fine window pane work on an 85 year old bungalow look great.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We know you may be comparing a few quotes. Unlike other companies, our quotes include labor, materials, and supplies, as well as prep, cleanup, and top-quality work. That said, we do try our best to match prices. Let us know if you receive a similar proposal at a lower price and we'll see what we can do.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When you get in touch, it's helpful to include as many details as possible - dimensions, condition, number of rooms, and anything else we need to know. Photos and videos are also very helpful. From there, we'll work with you to suggest brands, colors, finishes and anything else you might need.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My first job was actually in glass cutting, repair, and installation! That's where I learned to be careful and precise. Since then, I've worked in a number of small businesses as well as restoring my triple decker in Roslindale. I'm now excited to have the flexibility of operating my own business.
