Introduction: As a third-generation builder, we are well-known as the "concierge" contractor that solves difficult issues. Those issues include permitting, design challenges, maintaining strict budgets or completing projects in a timely manner. The hot projects that we recently completed include bright, spacious kitchens; outdoor living spaces made of stone; "man caves"; historic home renovations; authentic stone fireplaces and post and beam "party" barn. Michael has done several jobs for me including a major roof repair/replacement, a brick/tile fireplace and a concrete patio (plus a lot of other small repairs). In all cases the work was done well and on time/budget. Shows up when he says he will and returns calls. Good communication and very high quality. Would definitely recommend (and have, to many people!).

We couldn't be happier with our remodeled staircase leading to our second floor condo. When we first met Mike, we had asked him to bring the outside staircase up to code. Even though it had passed inspection, we, as landlords, wanted it remodeled for safety concerns primarily. Mike initially evaluated what was needed, but his design suggestions for style and color made the staircase more attractive as well. He completed the project in three and a half days. And the price was right. Mike is a master at his craft!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I do not believe a standard pricing system exists for most of the work I perform. The costs of nearly every item I use such as faucets, door knobs, outlets & switches, wood: oak vs, pine, exterior siding or windows, brick and stone supplies vary so widely a standard 'one fits all' pricing system would not work. Ultimately, my pricing is a direct result of the customer's product selections.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
A 'one on one' meet and greet is most essential to starting a new project. Getting all the customer's ideas down on paper is the second most essential item when starting a new project.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am very proud to say that I am a 3rd generation builder. My father trained me in both carpentry and masonry to be very detailed oriented. Many of my projects have ended up in magazines, newspaper and construction journals.
