Sharon's Math and Science Tutoring

I am offering tutoring in the following areas: math (pre-algebra, algebra I and geometry); science (high school biology, chemistry and conceptual physics); SAT math preparation. Morning, afternoon and evening hours are available.  I have 10 years of teaching middle school and high school science and math. I earned my PhD in geochemistry and I have experience working as an environmental geochemist. I have developed curriculum for schools and after-school science clubs, and taught both.  I try to create a warm and engaging learning environment that supports their executive functioning needs and works with all types of learners. I find learning fun and hope to make it that for my students. Lastly, I see math and science in the world all around us and try to infuse an understanding and appreciation of these in our daily lives.
