We hired Jakub to do our stairs and railings based on the reviews and photos. We were so happy with the results that we asked him to make an island with cabinets for our kitchen, which he did- again exceeding expectations. Then we asked him to make a mud room and pantry after taking down some closets that were there- they came out awesome. Then shelves and stairs for the garage, and we plan to have him back to do some more custom stuff for the nursery. He communicates just the right amount and is meticulous and capable- he is a finish carpenter/ cabinetmaker. People like this are hard to find- he is an actually skilled tradesman- if you can get him try to keep him and get as much done as you can; that's what we did and have been more than happy.

The finished rooms in my basement were poorly constructed and something out of the seventies. I made the mistake of thinking I could fix them myself and realized I needed a pro once I took the rooms apart. Jakub’s carpentry skills are excellent. I really appreciated his perfectionism, the pride he takes in leaving his workspace tidy at the end of the day as the project processed. He framed and insulated the walls, installed new doors, and when I chickened out, installed the door and window trim. He replaced the stairs and railing that were also poorly constructed, including a custom-made newel post. He subcontracted the drywall/plaster and electrical work. The rooms look nicer than the renovated rooms on the first floor of my house. I plan to hire him to replace my front door in the near future.
