We are a small family owned & operated company with many different quality services. We provide high quality landscaping, hardscape & snow removal services to Western MA. We also provide handyman services. We have only the best qualified handyman & technicians that are happy to take their time to find the best economic solution for your problem. We are happy to come to the location and view the project to provide our customers with a free estimate that is customized to their project and situation. We are happy to announce are hard work is starting to show. We found A & J Landscaping Services on a Thumbtack review when we first set out to plan a fence installation for our property in Springfield, Massachusetts. Instantly, we noticed that both Arthur and Jessica were approachable and honest about their estimate, which gave us peace of mind as to where our funds were being used. This set them apart from the other companies we received estimates from. The fence materials are of the highest quality; there is a lifetime warranty on the materials which Arthur and Jessica were happy to e-mail to us In addition to our fence, we requested to re-loam the front and side yard; both of which Arthur was able to include in our overall budget. Throughout this process, both Arthur and Jessica were very communicative. In the middle of our fence installment, the builders noticed that our yard was filled with large boulders, which made the project challenging to dig. A & J Landscaping Services was able to employ a Bobcat and determine where we would need to support with our remaining budget line. Additionally, after the installation was finished, we noticed a few minor issues that we were quickly able to call and text Jessica about that Arthur was able to remedy at the earliest convenience. Overall, the quality of the fence itself is wonderful which leaves us assured that we got the best value for our money. We are extremely satisfied with both the fence and seeding/loaming on our front yard. Throughout the installation, Arthur and Jessica were extremely responsive to our needs, which made us feel well taken care of. We receive compliments from neighbors and friends and we have already recommended A & J Landscaping Services to several other individuals interested in a home project like his one!

A&J Landscape Services did a great job. Jessica came out the afternoon I called to estimate the project, she gave me a very reasonable quote. Art did an amazing job, despite the high wind gusts that made the job close to impossible, he came back the next morning to clean up once again. I would hire them again in a heartbeat.

Both Arthur and Jessica are professional and hard-working. Our project has proven to be a bit more complicated than they had expected (their business is fairly young), however they both continue to work with us to make sure the result is to our satisfaction. Our family loves our new bigger back yard and renovated rock wall and steps. We plan to rehire A&J next year to complete what we started this season.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Every job is unique in it's own way and because we offer so many different services we often view the property before giving out an estimate. We feel it can be unfair to the customer and to the business to not view the property and discuss the scope of work wanted or needed to be done before giving an estimate.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
If needed the first step is to view the property, submit a free estimate via email or how the customer prefers to receive their estimate, lastly schedule the work. Depending on the type of job it is, we also have service contracts.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
15 years of site work, landscaping, fencing, hardscape services & the use of heavy equipment, OSHA safety class trainings, 16 years of plowing, business management, accounting and customer service. CDL Class A License, Hoisting License, Medical Card, QuickBooks certification and much more.
