FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I prefer to work hourly, I believe its fairer to everyone involved, but if we agreed on an estimate I will keep the homeowner updated if anything is changing beyond the boundaries of the original estimate. Change orders are almost always counted hourly in addition to the estimated cost. I charge a slight upcharge on all materials provided by me and expect homeowners to purchase their own lights, but many common materials are free.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My typical process is to look over the job, figure out where things are expected to be or how they are expected to operate, then work out my plan to make it so. I will reach out if something can't, or won't easily go where expected and offer options to correct the issues. I will also often coordinate with the homeowner to decide who will be doing what and offering advice where wanted.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 7 years of electrical experience as of 2026, and a journeyman electrical licence. I have worked some form of construction since 2017. I have taken Osha classes, all the classes required for my license. Most of my training has been practical instruction in the field.
