Mike was a great guy and we really were looking forward to working with him however he was a bit too busy for us and never finished the job. They started in August and planned to be done by August 15th yet here it is October and we had to hire another company to finish what they started. We now are forced to take legal action to get reimbursement of the $4100.00 deposit we gave as a deposit. We have yet to hear from anyone at Expert Closets for over a month. Truly wish this was not the case it’s really unfortunate. The work quality was sub par and far from professional looking. Mike even told me he agreed when I commented that it looks as if I went to Home Depot or Lowe’s and installed some pre fab closets system. The shelves are crooked, cuts are rough and not straight, shelves are uneven, wobble should I go on? They tried to caulk to hide the imperfections and left tons of excess caulking and there are too many imperfections and large gaps that it would take weeks to conceal all of them. Mike told us the reason the shelves didn’t sit flush and the shelves were different lengths and they were wobbling was due to the wall not being square or flat which is not true at all. I measured and the left side is 101 1/2 inches long where the right is 102 3/4 long mind you they should be equal, the shelves are warped and some tip left while others are angled right , similar to a table with a short leg. Really poor workmanship, sorry to say.

I had two walk-in closets organized with shelving, drawers and areas for hanging clothes. Fabulous job, it looks great and has organized our clothes better than I had hoped. I then had two closets that we use one as a pantry and the other to hold small appliances, bakeware and misc. kitchen items. Again, I can easily locate what I am looking for, it's clean and well worth the money. Expert Closets are professional, on time and they do quality work. Mike is awesome! Great design options and price. Melissa and Mike are an awesome team. I am so happy with my new closets!!! I gained SO much space, and they look great!! SO HAPPY that I went with Expert Closets!!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We are active board members of the ACSP (Association of Closet & Storage Professionals), the only organization for our profession. We are quite involved in the betterment of our industry and contribute to the guidelines that are and have been established for the closet industry. We actively seek to improve design, implementation and innovation of storage solutions. We are active with both the construction and architectural industries to achieve saturation of all existing information, with regard to the accepted proper fundamentals for designing storage spaces for homes.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Closet & Storage Design is a unique and specific field, not everyone is qualified to design your space usage. Hard wood products are 3 times more expensive, than melamine. Some of this is due to the material cost and some for finishing(ie. painting and staining)
