- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing system is not complicated but is bid on a case by case basis depending upon what services are required. I can do a package including editing, marketing and basic website design. I have members of my team who can do graphic design for self-publishers. I can write winning book proposals for those seeking traditional publishing opportunities. I try to be flexible so the client is only paying for what they really need.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am always studying the field. I am the author of books about the industry and have taken MBA level courses within the past year at Rutgers University to educate myself in the changes in the marketing world. My certifications include digital marketing strategy, social media and entrepreneurship. These areas change daily so I keep up by following blogs and alerts about any new topics.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I began a dual degree program in Journalism while in law school because I discovered the joys of writing. Eventually I meandered into the business side of things as a literary agent and project developer but always continued to write. I have had a varied career, which has allowed me to change with the industry and to embrace new technologies.
