Having a Friday wedding in 2011? I'll photograph it for $100!\ Yes... I will photograph your wedding for $100. Here are the details: Q: Why so cheap? A: I’m a retail sales manager with 15+ years of photography experience who has just made a large investment in digital camera equipment. I would like to eventually photograph weddings for much more than $100, but I have no professional wedding experience. I can’t honestly justify charging people thousands of dollars until I have more wedding experience and a complete wedding portfolio. That’s where you come in. Q: Why $100? A: By charging a small fee, I can honestly say that I was “hired” to photograph your wedding. Plus, the $100 covers the cost of gas, parking, etc. Q: What do I get for $100? A: 4 hours of coverage, including the church, formal photographs and the reception. I am flexible, so we can talk about how you want to use your 4 hours. Q: What about prints? A: My wife is a graphic designer so we would be happy to create an album and/or prints for you at an additional cost. If not, you would receive a DVD or CD with all of the (un-edited) images from your wedding free of charge for you to print as you’d like. If you are unsure, we can discuss what your needs are and quote you a price in advance. Q: Where will you travel to? A: I live in Stoughton, MA and will travel within a 15-20 mile radius for the $100 flat rate. Q: Do you have any type of portfolio or examples of your work A: Of course, my current portfolio can be accessed at the website below. Q: Is this a scam? A: No Q: Are you sure? A: Yes. We will meet face to face to discuss your wedding and the shoot before any money changes hands. I know how stressed out your are already. Q: Why only Fridays? A: I work retail, so my Saturdays' off are few and far between. I can shoot weekend weddings, but the rate for Saturdays and Sundays starts at $500, and I need at least 90 days notice. Q: How many of these are you going to do at the $100? A: My goal is to book and shoot 10 weddings at the $100 rate then set up a pricing structure that is more in line with the industry standard. Update: Since I first posted this ad I have 2 booked and 1 tentative, so I will be doing 7-8 more at this price. Q: What date and times are available? A: Any Friday after 02/11/11 (subject to change depending on what events I book). I am generally available after 4:30 p.m., but can be available earlier with advanced notice. Q: What else do I need to know? A: The reason I’m doing this is to build my portfolio and help some people out along the way. If I photograph your wedding, you need to know that I may use images from your wedding as part of my portfolio, website or advertising material. Q: Do you Photograph other events?
