🔥 BADKITTY CAT GROOMING – BIO PLEASE READ — THIS FIRST SECTION IS IMPORTANT FOR A SUCCESSFUL GROOMING I kindly ask that you read these key points before booking. They are here to ensure a smooth, safe, and successful grooming experience. If these do not align with what you’re looking for, I respectfully ask that you choose another groomer. PLEASE select only ONE groomer at a time. Thank you! 😊 ⸻ 🚫 IMPORTANT POLICIES 1. NAIL TRIMS Nail trims are included with all full grooming services and are the most efficient way to book this service. I do not offer nail trim-only appointments outside of my immediate local area. A nail trim-only service may be available within a 10-mile radius of Sudbury at a premium rate, depending on schedule and availability. There may be occasional exceptions to this 10-mile radius; however, this must be discussed in advance to determine if it is an appropriate fit. ⸻ 2. DO NOT SELECT “I’M FLEXIBLE” You must specify what service you are requesting. If “I’m flexible” is selected, a $5 consultation fee is required prior to discussion. ⸻ 3. CAT MUST BE READY & IN A CARRIER Your cat must be secured in a carrier 15 minutes prior to arrival. If your cat is loose upon arrival: • A 50% fee of the quoted grooming will be charged • The appointment will be canceled and rescheduled I cannot safely groom a cat that has just been chased or is stressed. When I finish my prior appointment, I enter your address into GPS and will text you with my estimated arrival time (ETA). This gives you a clear timeframe to have your kitty calm, contained, and ready prior to my arrival. ⸻ 4. FULL BATHS — CURRENTLY LIMITED I am not booking full baths at this time, except: • Emergency sanitary (“butt bath”) situations — at a premium • When I determine a bath is medi****y necessary 👉 Many cats do not need a bath. In many cases, a proper groom (such as a lion cut or deep comb-out) is sufficient. ⸻ 5. YOU MUST BE FLEXIBLE ON APPOINTMENT DAY Exact arrival times are not guaranteed, unless your kitty is being given Gabapentin or another anti-anxiety medication, in which case timing will be coordinated more precisely. I may arrive: • Up to 1–2 hours early • Or up to 2 hours later than expected This is due to traffic, weather, and the unpredictable nature of each grooming appointment. 🚨 DO NOT place your cat in the carrier until I text that I’m on my way. If you are unable to be flexible within this time window, I kindly recommend selecting a day that better allows for that flexibility. ⸻ 😅 OK… NOW THAT THE HARD PART IS OUT OF THE WAY… Hello! I’m Lori — and I am a cats-only groomer with 29 years of experience. 👉 I do NOT groom dogs. 👉 I specialize exclusively in cats. I am currently the only cats-only groomer within a 50-mile radius of the Boston area with this level of dedicated experience. ⸻ 🐾 WHY THIS MATTERS There is a major difference between: • A groomer who “also does cats” vs. • A groomer who specializes ONLY in cats 👉 Always ask: “How many cats do you groom per week?” “How many years have you worked specifi****y with cats?” An inexperienced groomer can seriously injure a cat. ⸻ 🎓 CREDENTIALS I am a member in good standing with the National Cat Groomers Institute (NCGI) — a highly respected organization dedicated exclusively to professional cat grooming education and standards. Their training programs attract students from around the world, including England, Canada, Japan, and Australia, who travel to the United States to learn from NCGI-certified instructors. The institute is widely regarded as one of the most advanced and sought-after educational programs in the field of cat grooming. ⸻ ⚠️ MY STANDARDS (FOR YOUR CAT’S SAFETY) • I do NOT use neck nooses • I do NOT use perfumes or dry shampoos (unsafe for cats) • I groom using safe, cat-specific handling techniques Anything else is, in my professional opinion, not appropriate for cats. ⸻ 💜 IN-HOME GROOMING EXPERIENCE All grooming is done in the comfort of your home. This is a premium, concierge, specialized service that: • Eliminates travel stress • Keeps your cat in a familiar environment • Provides one-on-one attention ⸻ 🤝 CLIENT PRESENCE DURING GROOMING Clients are encouraged to be present during the grooming process, as this allows you to see exactly how your cat is being handled, ask questions in real time, and provide input throughout each step of the groom. My goal is for you to get what you want — not what I assume you want — and having you present helps ensure that. Because I work independently, I may occasionally require light assistance (such as gently moving a paw or tail), and it is important that the person present is comfortable and able to assist if needed. If you are not comfortable being present or assisting, I kindly ask that you have someone available who is. ⸻ 💰 PRICING There is no one-size-fits-all pricing. Each grooming is customized based on: • Coat condition • Behavior • Time required A phone conversation is required before providing an approximate quote.
