FAQs
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I photograph weddings, engagement sessions, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, anniversaries, and other events. I also do lifestyle portraiture of children, families, newborns, and high school seniors. I have a photojournalistic style, so images tell the story of the day. I do primarily on-location work, as I love photographing people outside with natural light. However if you are interested in a studio-like setting, that can be arranged.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
For your wedding, in addition to finding an experienced professional photographer, who's work you love, you'll also want to have a good connection with your photographer. On your wedding day, you will be spending a lot of time together, so having someone around you and your friends and family, that you are comfortable with, helps put you at ease. I always encourage meeting couples in person, perhaps through an engagement session, to get to know each other a bit and how we work together. You'd be suprised how much that makes a difference when you get a little used to being in front of the camera a bit!
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
There are a lot of inexperienced photographers who claim to be "professional" but may not be, and those looking may be tempted by low prices. Professional photographers, have invested years in training, experience, and thousands of dollars on equipment and back-up equipment. If you want professional, quality images, it's important to do proper research for the right photographer.
