I have been teaching singing lessons in Tewksbury, MA for 25 years. I love my job!! I enjoy helping my students on their journey while learning to sing. I know starting lessons can make someone nervous and feel a little scared. I like to make my students feel comfortable. While starting with vocal warm ups I can let a student know what voice part they fall into (soprano, alto, tenor or bass). Proper breathing is very important to learn while singing and will help them to sing properly and not harm their vocal chords. To hear a student grow as a singer, gain confidence and achieve a goal they had set is music to my ears. :)

Jeannie is not only an excellent teacher, but an amazing friend. Her levels of support and encouragement are outstanding. I’m a shy person, but Jeannie helped me feel confident enough to sing in two recitals. I am a better person having met her and I enjoy lessons with her very much.

Jeannie was my voice coach in high school. She taught me all the essentials like breathing, healthy chord exercises, perfecting pitch, and some music reading. Arguably more important though, she was an incredible MENTOR. She helped me with self confidence, gave me a safe space and positive encouragement to try new things and be the person I wanted to be at the time, and NEVER made me feel like an outlier. She even got me to sing in front of a crowd of people many many times (I hate actively drawing attention to myself). Jeannie is an incredible human being. I wish everyone could spend at least one day with her. We all deserve a Jeannie. 🥰

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I started voice lessons when I was 14 years old. I was in a ton of choirs in high school and performance groups. after high School I went to college at Berkeley college of music in Boston in Massachusetts. one side of college I performed a lot but decided to start my business when I was 26 years old.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
if I am performing out on a weekend that is great but I want to do music all the time. I started my own business because I want to help other singers learn how to sing properly and feel comfortable when they are on stage.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have taught students from age 5 to age 70. I can teach all styles of music and I like to help my student work on music that they love.
