I offer a unique blend of therapy that may include expressive psychotherapy and myofascial release treatment. Expressive therapy allows a person to discover and express verbally and through movement their emotions, dreams and goals. Myofascial release bodywork works with the body, providing a low pressure over a period of time to release restrictions in the fascial system. Fascia is the tough connective tissue that surrounds and infuses all of one's cells and organs. Emotional and physical trauma, accidents, and the "micro traumas" received in everyday living impact and restrict the fascial system. Unconscious memories stored in the body may surface during a myofascial release treatment, and be released through bodily expression, called an "unwinding". The client softens, enlivens, and rebalances during this process.
