- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've aided in home improvement and construction projects since high school, but began apprenticing with a general contractor after getting my bachellors degree. I worked in home improvement, kitchen design and sales, and in a furniture workshop before pursuing Maggie Makes It full time.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
It's normal to talk to a professional while working out your project idea. Sometimes experienced insight can be useful at the earliest steps to figure out the best options and limitations. This can especially be the case with custom carpentry or creative projects. However, the best conversations happen when a customer has a firm sense of their ideal budget and timeline.
