Introduction: I will not say we are better. Like many professions there are good businesses, etc and poor ones. As Laurie's partner I can tell you she told the staff, " I am all about the food and the service". So does that make us stand out? Well, would just like to say to you, you will get the best food and service we can offer! We love after a catering job to hear how people loved our food and that we get referral catering jobs from that. That is so rewarding. To see Laurie and her Mom talking recipes, making the food, seeing Dad enjoy helping his daughter with handy work, deliveries and more. It's just a project of love that comes through to you. So when we get the kind reviews, it makes all our efforts the most enjoyable part of the job.

Hi, I have been a regular customer of Laurie's 909 since it opened 2.5 years ago. I return for several of Laurie's menu items which are favorites of mine like Laurie's 909 Pasta and Fish, the Haddock Putanesca as well as the Salmon and Scallop dinners. I enjoy the fish meals because the fish is fresh as Laurie goes to the fish market almost every day to purchase fresh fish. I have enjoyed meals alone at the bar chatting with regular customers as well as dinners seated in the dining area. The live entertainment on many Friday and Saturday nights is a bonus. The Glass Onion Beatles Cover Band, The Transistors, and The Bucket of Blues are awesome and there is no cover. The bands usually start around 8:30 to 9:00pm which is the perfect time for me to go in for a late dinner, appetizer and or drinks. The monthly Sunday Blues Jam at 5:00pm is a blast and sometimes standing room only! I like Laurie's cooking so much that I had her cater a large party for me and everyone was pleased. It was seamless as she asked me what I wanted from her catering menu and it was delivered to my home. I will be calling Laurie in the next week to cater another event for me. I am very grateful to have a talented chef and cool neighborhood restaurant like Laurie's 909 in Wakefield.

My husband and I moved to Wakefield a year and a half ago and have been regulars at Laurie's 909 ever since. The food is amazing (the fish tacos, the shrimp scallop gio, the fried clams, and the salmon are some of our favorites) and the staff are all awesome. Everyone is very attentive and friendly. We love Laurie's so much that we had a private party at the restaurant the day after our son's wedding. All our guests raved about the food and the fact that we had the restaurant to ourselves. Laurie was great at helping me pick out the menu items and quantities, and was patient with me when I made changes! When we got to Laurie's the televisions were on so we could watch the Patriots game, plus music was playing...what more could you ask for! It was a fantastic time! Laurie's 909 is a neighborhood gem!

Everything about Lauries 909 is great. We have been here many times.The food is excellent and the service is very friendly. You get your money's worth on the drinks very well made. We have Lauries do our catering and most people ask where did you get the food it's great. I tell them Lauries 909 in wakefield,ma of course.
