128 has a really good history with me, so when my hot water stopped working I called them right away. They were able to send a technician the same day (wow!). Adin not only diagnosed the issue but repaired it on the spot! He was also very professional and a great communicator (he let me know when he was on his way and even showed up a few minutes early). Heating System Repair or Maintenance
I have done over 40 jobs over Thumbtack and worked with 5 plumbers through Thumbtack. 128 Plumbing charges $49 for someone to come out and give an estimate. I have never paid any plumber or contractor to come to my house and give an estimate. I also never give anyone less than a 5 star review.Jan 15, 2020Verified
Matt and Stephen arrived a few hours after I called. They gave me options to fix the situation and I felt like they were straightforward with the data. They were very knowledgeable and efficient and patient with all my questions. There may be less expensive ways to get things done but given the response, efficiency and quality that Matt and Stephen delivered, I am very happy and appreciative of their help and consideration and coming to my house and fixing the problem expertly. Had a great experience with getting a heating upgrade. - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?For any new furnace, boiler, tankless on-demand heating or hot water system, or ductless mini-split, or air conditioning we offer a consultation at no cost. We'll spend time at your kitchen table with you answering any questions you might have. We offer upfront pricing on repairs while on-site for service calls. For preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, we can offer one-time maintenances as well as three to five year long service plans right on the phone.
- What types of customers have you worked with?Residential home owners in the North shore, Greater Boston, or Merrimack Valley areas. We go all the way up Rte 128... which is how we got our name!
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?Find someone licensed, insured, experienced on different equipment and that has been in business for a longtime in case you ever have questions about your project in the future.
