Introduction: Nadia Monti is a professional makeup artist. She has been working in all facets of the industry for over 15 years. She has experience with a wide array of makeup styles, including traditional, period piece, theatrical and cosmetic reconstruction. To date, she has been the makeup artist for hundreds of photo shoots, weddings, performances and more. Nadia trained, first hand with the world renowned makeup artist, David Nicholas. His studio is the only licensed training center on the east coast with the Board of Cosmetology and offers specializations in the art and instruction of cosmetic application and work in the field of reconstructive and corrective makeup. Nicholas brings his students over 25 years of experience, having worked with leading publications such as Vogue, Rolling Stone and Maxim and boasts a client roster, including Sarah Jessica Parker, Ellen Pompeo, Tom Selleck and many more. Nadia has a master's level certification, but continues her training in the areas of theatrical and re-constructive/corrective makeup application to ensure that she provides to her clients the latest available techniques and trends in the many areas of makeup application.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Wedding applications include touch-up kits and false lash applications for the bride, and mother-of-the-bride/groom. New clients should feel comfortable sitting down and telling me exactly what they feel comfortable (or not comfortable) with! You need to be happy in your own skin!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I will tell you exactly what my process is when you sit with me. You should be "makeup ready" with clean and moisturized skin so your products will go on smoothly and look great all day and night. It is essential for both of us to ask questions if you have any during the process.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have worked with people all my life. I am primarily a choral director and music educator in a public school system. Pertaining to makeup, I am certified in makeup training with David Nicholas International in all levels of makeup training and reconstructive and corrective makeup. DNI is certified on the Eastern U.S. Coast with the Board of Cosmetology.
