I think that my work stands out from others because I take extra care to make sure that my work is exactly what my customers envision. I look at every single detail and I think that my artwork/calligraphy shows that. I also pride myself in making the whole experience of creating a piece of artwork or addressing your wedding invitations as STRESS FREE as possible - I will bend over backwards to accommodate your every need. I absolutely LOVE being creative. I have the perfect job (preschool aide) to bring out my creativity on a day to day basis. Whether I am helping another teacher with a sequencing book - or just drawing leaves or pumpkins "on the fly" I love every minute of it. Plus I am out of school at 2:00 and I have Fridays off. My schedule allows me to be able to be creative every day!!

If I could give more than 5 stars I would-she's more than excellent. Not only does Melanie do amazing work but she's a doll to work with. From the first email I sent her to find out a little more information to well after I picked up our wedding invitation envelopes the whole time she was always eager to help and extremely thoughtful. Even after she was done with all of them she suggested that I leave a couple invitations this way if I had any last minute ones she'd address them and send it out for me! You don't find people going that extra mile anymore like she does. I knew right away she was someone I wanted to work with. She was always available by phone, email, in person and was great at communicating with me throughout the process. Even though she gave me warning to double/triple check the address/spelling of towns/zip codes which I did she still caught a couple errors I had. She emailed me right away letting me know and that it was no big deal. I trusted her 100%. Her professional opinion helped me since I had no idea the proper way on addressing the envelopes. We had her use navy ink which matches our invitations exactly. I can't wait to send them out now because I know everyone will love the handwriting. Even though I don't know much about addressing envelopes, initially was thinking of a way to address them myself by using a printer. I'm SO happy I didn't. They look a thousand times nicer than any printer. I found Melanie from maybe the same way you are finding her- through her reviews which you see are nothing but positive feedback. I've been very lucky to have found Melanie and you wont be disappointed if you hire her.

FAQs

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I don't - number of envelopes, color of ink, time frame that's about it. Artwork - it just depends on the piece.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
No I don't - but if something in the town continuing education booklet jumped out at me - I would jump on it - that is if I had the time!!
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I went to school to be an art teacher - but I didn't get to do my practice teaching, then I got married etc. and never went back and did it. I regret it now - but I have had the luxury of doing so many unbelievably creative things - designing bookcovers for Large Print books doing all kinds instructional media for the phone company. Designing the town booklet and drawing various town land marks for the Chamber of Commerce in my town. Working with so many interesting people and always being able to do something creative to help out various causes.
