"My mothers 60th Birthday Celebration" They catered at a hall for about 130 guests. The experience was fantastic! They arrived two hours before the event and were completely independent and did everything themselves. When the food was out, everyone kept raving about how GREAT it was. Our guests continued to rave about the food a week after the party! Not only was the food delicious and exactly what we wanted the staff were extremely professional and courteous to our guests. They smiled and went the extra mile, which made our guests feel even better about the time they were having at our party. Their clean-up was perfection and they did not leave a trace behind. They exceeded our expectations and we will definitely use them again in the future!

This was a "small" party by Soraya's standards-- about 40 people -- Middle Eastern menu, cooking chicken and shrimp on the grill. The food was delicious!!!! Soraya and her team arrived around 2:30 for a party scheduled to begin at 5:00. Once they were here, I answered some questions for them, but other than that, they handled everything, and did so in a fabulous way: they were very attentive, but unobtrusive, so we were able to have a reunion and a farewell party among people who have been friends for more than 40 years. The evening was informal, but elegant. I loved it because 30 minutes before the guests arrive, I was sitting in a chair reading a murder mystery. I've never had that experience before, and it was FANTASTIC! Our guests loved also them! Thank you for introducing me to Soraya. Nancy D.

It was a cocktail and appetizer party for 12 people. Everyone loved the food! We had plenty left over for folks to bring home! Price was great. It will definetly use SYB Catering again because Soraya was so professional and accomodating...she came and set everything up an hour before the start date and cooked several apps on premise...it was great. And again, the the food was awesome!

Soraya and her team were exceptional. I hired them to cater a lab holiday party for ~50 people and ~10 children. Soraya was committed to making sure my event was exactly as we wished and was able to offer a competitive price to fit our limited budget. We also wanted sushi catered from a specific restaurant, and Soraya made sure that happened and actually coordinated the arrival of the sushi for us. All in all, a fantastic catering experience! Will definitely be using SYB in the future!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I love to try to work with people, their needs and their budget, so do not be afraid to speak with me. For catering/bar, a majority of our menu's are customized to fit the event and budget. Obviously, I can only be so flexible with budget, but I ask that you still inquire to see what we can do!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to have initial calls with people. That does not mean you are tied to me, but, it helps with understanding your event better, so I can give you more accurate information!
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have been party planning since my college days. I just found out that I was very creative and organised and my events on campus were getting noticed. From there I started working with all different University staff members to help their departments put on events. I was also a Student Leader and President of a couple different organizations, which helped me a lot.
