Take a good look at the professionalism of the different repair people. Are they literate? Do you want to trust someone with your important technology if they can't put a decent sentence together? It is a common attribute of technical people but it doesn't have to be. Another common attribute is technicians who aren't very personable. It is possible to be technical and a "people person".
